Their is virtually no civilization that hasn't developed some notion of life after death. In the absence of of anything that could be called reliable physical evidence, men and women of every era and culture have reached for a picture of life's journey in which the grave is merely an entryway to a new stage, not a final destination.

Christians: ..... As a place place to go Heaven or Hell, all depending on your actions while you where alive.
